pure-ftpd-ldap software package provides Secure and efficient FTP server with LDAP user authentication, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pure-ftpd-ldap
pure-ftpd-ldap is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pure-ftpd-ldap package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pure-ftpd-ldap *
You will get with pure-ftpd-ldap package name, version, architecture and description in a table
